No Trust, No Believe, No Follow – Rich’s Rule # 10

October 16, 2014

You must establish trust with constituents.

Some people will trust you until you show you’re not trustworthy.  Others will withhold trust until you prove you can be trusted.

When people trust you, they will believe and follow – even at times when perhaps they shouldn’t.

When people don’t trust you, they will question and hesitate or fail to follow – even at times when they should.

A prudent leader realizes those who trust will believe what you say and follow; those that don’t – not a word and perhaps never.

For this reason I’ve chosen You Must Establish Trust with Constituents as Rich’s Rule # 10.
